Revel:
Sure, it’s easy to miss Revel's discreet façade, but the address is easy enough to remember. In fact, everything about this indoor/outdoor hangout is memorable. Once the nameless "10 Little W. 12th St." bar, it's amazing how big a crowd a little name change can draw. A concrete floor and exposed brick walls wrap around a mid-sized bar. In the backyard, which even has a few trees, the stone grill sizzles with veggies, burgers, and steaks for a crowd of 20- and 30-somethings who know they’re onto something good. This seemingly effortless place doesn’t give the impression it wants to be this “cool,” but when you open a place with a backyard in this area, and hire hot staffers to watch over it, you’re going to be popular.
Hooray - a place in the MP District that offers good food, great service and chilled drinks. All of that in a beautiful garden smack in the middle of one of the most overpriced, overrated neighborhoods in the city. Congratulations to the owner of this one - you did it right!

It's really refreshing to find a place down in the Meat Packing that's unpretentious and welcoming. I hate having to face door gorillas who might not think I'm cool enough, and then dropping 12 bucks on a beer. The staff here are hot, friendly and efficient, even when the back yard is heaving with good people. And the drinks are relatively cheap, too. I think beers are about 7 dollars. Will def be back to try the food.

The outside area is perfect to have pink cocktails. Plus, the food was great and the meats came with three dipping sauces.
