Ristorante Aglio: Aglio means "garlic" in Italian, so we'll bet you can guess the main star of this Italian spot's dishes and drinks. ...Wait, drinks? Yep, garlic aficionados (or those trying to ward off vampires) can sip on the yummy Basilico Fizz (garlic-infused vodka, dry vermouth, basil and olive juice, $13). If you want to warm up your tummy and your taste buds (without scaring away potential lovers), ask for the Baby It’s Cold Outside, an off-menu drink featuring brandy, black tea vodka, lime, brown sugar, orange, cinnamon and prosecco ($13 at press time, but TBD). For eats, you may think only native Italian chefs can concoct “real” (and really good) Italian fare like Rigatoni Alla Bolognese ($19) or Risotto Alla Parmigiana ($16), but guess again. The kitchen is actually run by Japanese chefs expertly trained in Italian cuisine. The drinks, dishes and story may be noteworthy, but the simple-yet-sleek design of dark-wood furnishings and slightly dim lighting are de rigueur yet fine for a date night. Just remember to pack breath mints!
