Rose Bar, nestled in the Gramercy Hotel, is a victorious attempt to bring swank to the Flatiron. It’s the brainchild of renowned hotelier Ian Schrager and 80s artist Julian Schnabel. Past the safeguarded doors, New York’s finest mingle alongside starlets to electro-groove beats. Here it’s about being noticed. The extravagant artwork gave us flashbacks of Andy Warhol and the Factory. Adobe-inspired walls, grandiose fireplaces, and authentic works by Basquiat are awe-inspiring. The Bar staff sashays by while balancing posh concoctions. Just not sure if we could justify paying a king’s ransom for a round of cocktails. But it’s all a dream unless you know the right movers and shakers to get in on the list.
