Santa Fe Bar & Grill:
More of a restaurant than a bar, Santa Fe features a fairly exhaustive menu that goes beyond your 7-Eleven taquitos with a number of seafood entrées and a few special creations like the black bean and sweet potato burrito. Lunch can be had for eight bucks and under, but dinner gets pricier, with entrées that usually require the never-seen-in-Mexico 20 dollar bill. The welcoming dining room, while sparsely furnished, is decorated in warm Southwestern colors, and the prominently featured bar is well-stocked. And while the food has the kick to beat out most poseur Mexican restaurants in the city, Santa Fe doesn’t have half the personality of that Chihuahua from those Taco Bell commercials.
Hidden secret on the upper east side. Me and my wife Jodie dine at Santa Fe about 2-3 times a week and it gets better every time. the guacomole is prepared freshly at the table. The margaritas are made with fresh promegrane. They have waitors working there from Rosa and the owner sam is a former matre'd at mr chow and head waitor at sparks steak house so it seems like they know what there doing. the sizzling fajitas are fantastic. My wife cant get enough. The only downside is it gets kind of crowded and there can be a little wait. I highly recommend you try this you wont be dissapointed
