Named after a small Vietnamese town but host to big (think “SNL” closers) parties, Sapa is a gorgeously appointed space that fuses organic elements with elegant wood finishes. The wall of candles, sheath-adorned pendants, and back-lit, distressed mirrors emit low light, and transform the potentially pretentious setting into comely tranquility. In a similar vein the French Vietnamese menu offers both exotic dishes (coriander-crusted ahi tuna) and safer options (french fries), as well as a playful cocktail and wine selection. Even the bathrooms in this place emit a Zen-like beauty, making this a slam-dunk space for a must-impress date.
