Sarabeth's Central Park South: It all started with a decadent brownie in her first bakery, and now Sarabeth Levine has an empire that rivals that of Daniel Bouley. As her largest restaurant, overlooking Central Park, Sarabeth's CPS prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an insanely-addictive brunch that proves that even home cooking can be bottled and served in a jar. Ingenious omelettes incasing leeks, ham and potato with Gruyere are served with a scrumptious muffin and unforgettable "spreadable fruit”. Although there are no unlimited drinks, there is the "Planter's Punch" (Bacardi, Triple Sec, four flowers juice, lime juice, dash of grenadine), for $ 11, or their famous "Pickled Bloody Mary" for $9.50. While it’s not quite as trendy as say Bagatelle, Sarabeth's is a great place to take visitors who want a taste of New York’s family-style meals with a side of Central Park. |
