Schnipper's Quality Kitchen - Flatiron: A second location in the burgeoning fast casual franchise, Schnipper’s Flatiron is a massive cafeteria-esque outpost. Ordering is done at the front counter like a BK or Mickey D’s, but the food is hardly similar and it’s actually brought to your table by the friendly staff. Delicious, freshly made burgers are available in innumerable topping combinations, with specialty highlights including the green chile burger and the Schnipper’s Classic (burgers, $7.50-$9.75, additional toppings more). But it's not just a burger joint—there's hot dogs, seafood (fish tacos, $5.50) and even salads ($8.99 or less) on offer. Sides are standard issue fries, though you can garnish them in cheese and Sloppy Joe if you’re feeling fat and frisky. A small selection of local tap beer and wine is available, but their handcrafted milkshakes in an assortment of flavors ($5.50) will tickle your fancy more. Okay, so it’s not quite as good as Shake Shack down the block, but at Schnipper’s you won’t have to wait in a line nor brave the outside elements!
