Ship of Fools:
Ahoy, matey. Ship of Fools has all the trappings of a cheesy theme bar, but sit down for a game and a brew and you won’t be disappointed. Drawn by beer specials, hearty pub grub, and 42 satellite TVs, sports fans walk the plank every weekend at this Fighting Irish football stronghold. Monday through Friday, $2 Miller draughts and $4 frozen margaritas will shiver your timbers during happy hour, and the always available Bucket and Bucket special—32 wings and five beers, all for $30—will leave you pleasantly bloated. More Minnesota Vikings party cruise than yacht, Ship of Fools keeps diehard sports fans afloat.
What I like about this bar is that when I feel like having a brew in an uncrowded joint during the daytime hours, this place does it for me. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays is pretty much like that. Late evenings in the rest of the week is different but u can always find a spot somewhere. There are TVs all over the place to placate any sports fans desire. A few of the bartenders and waitresses are pretty and provide prompt, expert service with a smile, so don't be stingy with the tips!! Their bar food is good-tasting, filling and reasonably priced. Two caveats: their happy hour prices is nothing to brag out, and their margaritas are pale imitations of better stuff that's out there. Anyway, when seeking a place for a night out with your friends, folks, or by yourself, you can't go wrong with a visit here. You'll come back!

Great bartender, he was very friendly. The best thing about this place is that they have every sports package available, so you can watch any game. The bartender made it clear that on any night he could have whatever I wanted on one of the many tv's. Great place for Hockey games, for all you canadians in the city, I was able to watch every playoff game. A truly under rated sports bar

Is it just me, or is six bucks for a tap beer at a place like this just kind of obnoxious? Went there with two guys, we were the only ones...we couldn't even run a tab, the guy charged us for each individual beer. Not worth a trip back.

I've watched hundreds of baseball and football games at Ship of Fools over the past 5 years. I still go up there as much as possible for football despite living downtown, now. Whether you want to reserve a table for your favorite team's game, or you like to watch all the games at once, SOF is better than any sports bar I've been to in the city...
