This pub used to be Newgate, and though it hasn’t reinvented the wheel, the presence of a large outdoor seating area is hard to pass up. Hordes of after-workers and after-classers crowd the outdoor benches, nibbling on sliders that are washed down with Hoegaardens. (The menu is surprisingly pricey, but then again, so is NYU.) Step inside for a completely different vibe. A large, dark room with mirrored walls offers a clubbier atmosphere of candlelit booths and 50 Cent tunes, though on sunny days most will only use it as a pathway to the bathroom.
There aren't too many beers but the outdoor deck is nice in the summer.

This place is rocking now on sundays...there's a new dj that's been spinning house music so it's not the same old rock/rap deal like most of the other places down here...

I came here that one day it was 75 degrees. To bad it didnt stay longer. When I got here the outdoor patio was packed at 4 in the afternoon. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their cocktails and food. Before i knew it it was night and everyone was still goig strong. Def a place to be now that the weather is warming up.

Had a great time dancing, drinking, and laughing with friends. Met some really cool people that we ended up partying with all night. Staff was friendly and poured great drinks, which is first and foremost in my book. Too cold for the patio right now, but I can imagine it will blow up come spring/summer.
