The nice thing about Solas is that you can be certain you won’t run into the drunk idiot playing beer pong while you’re on a date. As we all know, nothing says romance like hearing a guy loudly refer to his opponent as a douchebag just before a stray ping pong ball whips you in the face. Solas does not attract that kind of crowd. This is a very laid-back, lounge-like place with the lights turned low except for the glow from bohemian chandeliers and candles. If you’re not yet certain your date is worth full-priced drinks, Solas has happy hour deals Sunday-Thursday, 4pm-8pm.
