Southampton Social Club:
It was only a matter of time before Southampton socialites discovered this hidden gem of a venue, featuring an indoor restaurant/lounge and a huge outdoor garden complete with a raised wooden dance floor, two bars and a fire pit. The Asian influences and the deep red tones of its former incarnation, Madame Tong’s, have been replaced by crisp white curtains and accent pillows, plush banquettes and even a cozy library lounge. The cocktail menu has also upgraded to 2011-prohibition standards with infusion-based and frozen selections like the St. Ginger Rita (fresh ginger, floral notes of elderflower and tequila) and the Coco Daqi (vodka martini with fresh lime and coconut) standing out for those warm summer nights. Perhaps the largest change though is that the seafood-heavy menu actually features dishes you’ll want to dive into (ex. Slow Cooked Pacific Halibut over market vegetables and fingerling potatoes), and with a late-night small-plates menu on weekends, even the models in the crowd will eventually be tempted to stop starving themselves.
