Southside: Hey, are you looking to get your party on with the U.E.S. Prep Academy Class of '06 now that they've finally turned 21? If so, welcome to Southside, and if you get in-side, you'll encounter a tightknit group of Vogue-ettes, minor Euro celebrities and future polo players that will have you thinking you're on the set of a very special Gossip Girl. It's the sort of crowd that wears blazers and bowties un-ironically, and could afford an entire case of Grey Goose in any one of the city’s haute boîtes. Lucky for you, this place isn't all about table service—with seating kept out of the way, and the bar in the back, expect most of the space to be filled with champagne-sipping patrons (and Patron-sipping shams) dancing to funk beats and old-school rap classics. Predicatably, it can be tough to get in if you don' t know anyone who knows anyone, so if you're going, get there early and bring your dad's platinum card. Open Thu.-Sun., 6pm-4am. |
