St. Jerome's:
Big, it's not. But what St. Jerome's lacks in size, it makes up for in cheap beer and a laid-back atmosphere. Although this Lower East Side bar (formerly Belly) is unpretentious and intimate, the interior is anything but ordinary. Its gilded walls and ceiling recall the look of a classy hotel, while the dim lighting and booth seating set the stage for a social evening of nightly DJs and $2 Budweiser and Bud Light (served until midnight seven days a week). With only a handful of tables and booths, and a sign that reads, "Love thy neighbor, share thy booth," St. Jerome's is not a place where shyness stands a chance. Stop by on Fridays from 6pm-7pm for an open bar on Bud Light and well drinks.
TOTAL LOSER BAR!!!!!!!!! go there to surround yourself with a bunch of horny, lonely dudes. the air is musty with desperation and the vibe is tense b/c the bottom feeders that hang out there are sexually frustrated. the bartenders (and GROTESQUE manager) are as sorry as the patrons and the place itself has the charm of a crack den. if you're female, bring a rape whistle!!!

Honestly, where else can you sneak off the mess that is Rivington after dark and find $2 beers? The regular DJ also help make this bar worth the trip.
