In addition to piles of comfy couches, live music, and what has to be the area’s best menu of bar snacks, the drinks at Stain are quite impressive. While the soft drinks are all fun and games, the real business here is the fine selection of wines—all New-York-based, thank you very much. You can try almost everything by the glass or bottle, or you can try one of their flight specials which include small glasses of different vintages and are available for either red or white. The feeling here is coffee-shop-cozy, something a big glass of red can only help with, so listen to the band, grab a couch, curl up, and toss one back.
This place is seriously the best bar in Williamsburg. They have rotating art from local artists, a great drink selection, a HUGE backyard (and a grill that anyone can use if you byo meat), the owner is sooo chill, the staff is unpretentious, live music all the time, never a cover! Lots of neighborhood charm with great characters coming in for a drink! Go here, you won't regret it!
