Williamsburg’s offbeat izakaya (Japanese for "a gin joint with good eats") is worth the walk to the corner of Metropolitan and Roebling for a bowl of mouthwatering ramen and a fresh juice cocktail. Most of the menu is made up of Asian-style tapas, such as spicy shrimp tempura, grilled king oyster mushroom and…steak (offbeat, remember?). Between rounds you can check out the rotating local art displays, scope out your date in the romantic lighting, or zone out to the eclectic movie and music du jour.
