The Boathouse: One of summer 2010’s hottest spots, The Boathouse is back and ready to outdo itself. This sunny, nautical-themed East Hampton spot is nearly unrecognizable to anyone who frequented its former iteration (Bostwick’s), with white-washed and mirrored walls, cozy banquettes, a stone fireplace, and lots of windows to show off the stunning water views. They serve up moderately-priced classic American eats with a focus on seafood (check their sweet specials during the week) and have a bustling (read: packed and noisy) bar area. Order up their signature drink, the Fresh Watermelon Martini (freshly muddled watermelon, top-shelf vodka, lime juice, sugar, and a watermelon garnish), which is guaranteed to cool you off when the temperature breaks 90. Come 11pm, the whole place transforms into a lounge, so expect the laid-back attitude to be toned down a notch (or 50...). A slew of hot DJs are slated to perform throughout the summer, so you best be on the list or at least be A-list. If you do finagle your way inside, don’t forget your Black Amex—bottle service on an outside patio overlooking the Harbor Marina doesn’t come cheap.
