The Dutch: Surprisingly, nothing about this uber-trendy Andrew Carmellini joint is remotely related to the Netherlands; rather, it’s a rustically-decorated American restaurant serving a mish-mash of New York-influenced, melting-pot-inspired foods. The menu’s emphasis on local, local, local fare gives way to tantalizing rotating options like seasonal vegetables, selections from the Oyster Room and a $96 rib-eye steak for two (which may well be worth, ahem...going Dutch). Drinks, too, are expertly prepared (with a price tag to prove it), including options like the Aviation Royale (gin, violet liqueur, lemon, maraschino and sparkling white wine, $14). Yes, you’ll wait...and wait...and wait...for a table here, but hey—all the more time to study the immense selection of tasty dishes and toasty drinks (an effort that we promise will be well rewarded). Study up!
