The Empire Room:
Located in the vicinity of Galway Hooker and other watering holes offering cheap drinks and a non-frills good time, The Empire Room–part of an overall $500 million Empire State Building renovation—stands out with its swanky 3,500 square foot interior. Unfortunately it also stands out with astronomical prices (does one really need truffle popcorn or $19 rib eye sliders?). Jazz music, a spacious curving, backlit bar, opulent Art Deco lighting fixtures and comfy leather booths with velvet pillows make for easy conversation between $9 beers and $13+ cocktails. While the roomy Room is open from 11am to 3am, only a few small bites are offered and there’s no happy hour. In fact, if you're even thinking "happy hour," you have the wrong idea...this is more a "$50 single malt scotch at 3pm before boarding a train at Penn Station" kind of place. Make your dad take you here.
This place i can't believe it.Such a waste of time and money..wouldn't go there i am giving it another 2 months or so then it's history.

Just Simply Bad. And the sad part is I work around here. I am sorry the Catwalk which is Tacky is much better than this place.

Forget it
Arrogant, incompetent hostesses. Slowest service of any bar in New York. Fake "deco" vibe. What a waste of time, money and effort ! Total tourist trap.
