The Hotel on Rivington Lounge:
Mighty THOR (The Hotel on Rivington’s restaurant) has unleashed his Nordic powers on nocturnal New Yorkers and created a mini-Meatpacking District in the middle of the LES. Accessible through a nondescript side door and a not-impossible-to-circumvent bouncer, The Hotel on Rivington Lounge is a hip destination that’s as beautiful as it is teensy (hotel guests are automatics on the list). Designed by Dutch master Marcel Wanders, the space flaunts a Swarovski-crystal-embedded bar and white pebbled walls. Little alcoves are the “it” spots—if you can wedge your way in. In fact, it’s a good thing that most patrons are V. skinny in addition to being VIP. Bottle service is nightclub standard and food from THOR’s exceptional kitchen is available upon request. A good time if you can stand the squeeze.
I went to the lounge for a friends birthday party and I was over charged. I got my tab and it was $540! They were letting other people order on my credit card... inclduing bottle service. I brought this to the owners attention and he was extremely rude and unprofessional about the situation. He threatened to call the cops and would not fix the problem. The bar tenders are terrible and rest of the service is bad. Its a C level lounge at best and doesn't treat it's customers with respect. I had to pay the bill. Go somewhere else.
