While most of us haven’t gotten drunk in a deserted parking lot since we could afford not to, this innovative drinking space (nestled in a playground-like art installation, nonetheless) provides the opportunity to relive your younger drinkin’ days with both nostalgia and class. Most offerings are pretty run-of-the mill (think domestic wines, non-alcoholic sodas and local beers), but one menu item stands out: the special “farm-to-tap” Brooklyn High Line Elevated Wheat ($7), a craft brew made especially for the Colicchio & Sons joint. Hungry? Grab a bite from one of the gourmet food trucks on the lot! The trucks park and go to provide rotating options, but featured treats of the past have included lobster rolls, falafel and tacos curated by (of course) Tom Colicchio. Foodies, beer snobs and those longing for their Midwestern youths can find asylum in this suddenly-cool parking lot, but you’d better hurry—much like summer lovin’, this limited engagement is over come September!
