The Mean Fiddler NYC:
If he was still a drinking man, The Mean Fiddler is where Colin Farrell would do his drinking. Actually, he’s rumored to hang here even though he’s off the sauce. That’s the kind of man’s man Irish bar this is. You’ll find a dart board, a pool table, multiple flat-screen TVs always tuned to sports (usually soccer), the all-important Jagermeister shot machine, and a group of men settled in at the bar seriously debating the hotness of Charlie’s Angels vs. Wonder Woman. There is fun to be had for the ladies as well – dancing on the bar is welcome, and almost necessary after a few Irish Milkmaids and shots of something called Kissed by a Leprechaun. Red lights cast a dim glow onto the already red walls upstairs where a DJ spins everything from Diddy to Depeche Mode five nights a week. Head downstairs for music of the live variety.
Went with 3 girlfriends the weekend before St. Patty's Day. Food was great, music good and they had the games on TV...very comfortable atmosphere. There is also dancing, we were there for a late dinner so didn't do the dancing thing but fun nonetheless!

was over on holidays and had being avoiding irish bars but i finally gave up and went to the mean fiddler.The place was a normal pub but this place was a blast.Everybody doing shots dancing there asses off just a great party..It was my last night but i will be back for more..Thanks Pat

Wow! My girlfriends and I heard about this bar all the back in Ireland and were warned not to leave NY without a visit. Unbelievable, we went on our 2nd night and revisited every night for the rest of our trip. We did try other places but nothing compared, the craic was not comparable elsewhere. We partied, laughed, drank. And met lots of gorgeous American boys we wanted to take home to Ireland with us. We can't wait to come back! Thanks, Mean Fiddler!

Anyone who wants to have an awesome time...this is the place to go:) We were out for my friends Bday and went to a couple of local bars,that were ok. My friends husband heard of this place called the Mean Fiddler and said lets check it out...man Im sure as shit glad we did!!! The atmoshepre was great. We order a few drinks and some shots and well needless to say we stayed ALL nite!!! I have to give props to the bartenders..Shane, Vincent and Bert:) These guys were awesome:) They took great care of us and even joined in on the fun!!! Like I said before this is the place you want to go if your looking to have a really GREAT time!! So Thanks to the Mean Fiddler and all there employes, you made my friends bday awesome and we have great pics to remember by!!! Hope to see youo all soon xo Tammy:)

This seems like the usual sports but after 11pm the place turns into a wild club..There is always plenty of young men to choose from so you'll never go home alone..Great Dj's Lively crowd.Awesome bartenders..

This place rocks! Women dancing on bar, girls pouring shots, pool table, DJs at night, and Buy Backs! Great happy hour, $3.50 beers, $5 mixed drinks--Long live the fiddler.
