After impressing even the harshest foodie critics with LES and Williamsburg outposts, Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow have opened up their third Meatball Shop location in two years, this one for the equally trendy (though slightly older) West Village crowd. This new venues offers more for snowball tikes than Baller’s Booze-hounds, adding kids’ selections to the menu from 3-5pm on school days along with “family packs” to go ($10 per person). Pristine white tiles still line the bar, and the owners are open to cleaning off tiny fingerprints—in fact, they’re hoping to draw in a more family-friendly crowd so, unless your inner-child wants to draw on the new white-papered children’s tabletops, your drunk forecast may just be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. But hey, at least it still rains wine by the glass (starting at $6), carafe ($13-21) or bottle ($24-40) and LES-fave PBR cans ($3).
