Generally speaking, there are only three reasons people party around Penn Station: their train’s delayed, there’s an event at MSG, or they're the few poor unfortunate souls who actually live in that area. The folks at Parlour Midtown are hoping to change all that (or at least lure those commuters and concert-goers in for a steak). With a pristine tri-level space, this self-proclaimed “Irish-style gastro-steakhouse” is littered with huge caricature paintings of notable Irishmen like Bono and Oscar Wilde. The main floor features high ceilings and an enormous black granite bar, where friendly wait staff will happily give you a proper pour of Guinness (but the wine list is definitely worth a look, too). Bottles start at $37, and if you want to tap into that corporate card, order the 2006 Chardonnay “Vine Hill” from Kistler, Sonoma Valley for $116. The place may be upscale, but these folks know their neighborhood—27 flat-screen TVs finish off the space. The food is hit or miss (and a little pricey), but the Parlour still offers a sleek refuge from an area riddled with fast food chains and dive bars.
Yes, Billy what is with the great looking staff? Its like Logan's Run or something out of science fiction.
Anyway, they are all cool and efficient. The food and drinks are very good. Had some fun nights there. They should extend the party onto more nights, I think.....

This place is really nice - the decor, the staff (unusually good looking), the food and drinks are first rate. It feels off the beaten path - But, really its right by Penn station and MSG.
the crowd is hit or miss - sometimes rockin' , sometimes a library reading room.
What is up with that? Also, is this place Irish or sports bar or something else? I guess it really does not matter. I like it.

Guess I am becoming a regular and its always nice to see the staff's friendly faces and great service.
Drinks are good and so is the food. The crowd keeps getting bigger every time I am there.
Guess my secret place is out ...

Awesome place
What a cool place to hang , and the food was very strong . The area was begging for this type of bar/restaurant , and they nailed it with the Parlour midtown . Also , great crowd !
