The Production Lounge:
Lights, camera…drink? This new Greenpoint lounge seems out of sync with the countless dive bars and hipster hangouts that line the area, catering to a Hollywood crowd for whom "Bronx" is a kewl baby name, not a vaguely scary borough. Nevertheless, it attracts those who can’t seem to get enough of themselves with karaoke Mondays and live band performances Friday nights. A sleek spiral staircase leads to a chandelier-lit, bottle serviced upper level for the shy ones to watch the action. The Performance Lounge goes a bit over-the-top with the Hollywood movie idea—red velvet ropes, reel decorations and one too many TVs—that keeps theme-a-phobic hipsters at a distance, but maybe the Lower East Side visitors will pay the bar a visit. 35mm antipasto by the reel, anyone?
Can there be ZERO stars review? AVOID this slice of tacky hell.
This place deserves zero stars, even LESS.
The owner harasses women walking by (my girlfriend and her friends, several times), are LOUD, and easily supply the WORST scene in Greenpoint. They are the antithesis to this neighborhood's CHARM.
How could ANYONE want to have a drink in there listening to that DJ??! And go take a look threw the glass: there's a dj with one or two friends, probably just his dealer, and one only lowly guy hitting on the bartender. Thats it.
Please, this place is an eye sore and an ear sore at best.
Cheesy, tacky, completely unfitted for the area. WHY are they still there after the crazy shooting last February??
Anything to get rid of them and replace them with something worthwhile - really, you couldn't find an establishment. this GROSS unless you traveled a good 50 minutes away. The parking garage that was there before it was MUCH BETTER LOOKING AND MORE APPEALING AND BETTER SMELLING.
AVOID.

Could be a cool bar, funky dance music in the area would be an amazing thing, but what the feck is with the attitude? It isn't actually Hollywood.
