The Sackett: It almost sounds like a fictious pub in a sit-com, no? But in reality, it's a homey spot that brings a touch of cocktail class to a beer-centric neighborhood. Located in the heart of the North Slope, this intimate bar plays rustic but is refreshingly unassuming. The juke box rocks unobtrusively and the crowd is just like you: there to relax with a seriously delicious cocktail. For our $9, we recommend the Perfect Pair (Grey Goose pear, St. Germain, lime) or the namesake Sackett (Johnny Walker red, Disaronno, Cointreau, orange bitters). If you want to keep it simple, four taps serve well-known microbrews (Six Point, Victory, et al) for $5 and there are a smattering of bottles too. So if you want our advice, make like your groceries and "sack it!" |
