The Standard Beer Garden:
The Standard Beer Garden is not your, um, standard beer garden. It's more tube tops than flip-flops and though you'll find the requisite communal tables; they're not likely to be filled with the German-beer-stein-toting type of patron. In fact, there's not a stein to be found. The Standard is comprised of a few German brews and a couple of sausages, but what the place lacks in authenticity, it makes up for with a fantastic view (and we don't mean of the cleavage across the table). The garden sits under the famed High Line and offers prime people-watching while you sip your suds. Oh, and did we mention there's a Ping-Pong table? Kick off your Choo's for a match with your new neighbor. He may not be German, but your beer goggles are saying that you'll come home a winner. This place is in a hotel, ya know?
