The Three Monkeys:
This Times Square sports bar is pretty much exactly what you imagine when you think "Times Square sports bar," with just enough surprises to make it a worthwhile destination when you’re in the hood. It one-ups its neighbors with solid drink specials ($4 craft beer drafts? Yes, please!), 36 beers on tap, two huge bars, three levels (including two open-air roof decks) and a full-sized projector visible over the edge of the second balcony. The unique twists on greasy bar food still leave you with greasy bar food, but who doesn’t want shrimp poppers ($8) when they’re watching the game? As the hours pass on, the real party begins (this is the sister bar to the raucous Mean Fiddler after all) and the deafening untz untz of mid-90's pop is inescapable. So much for the “hear-no-evil” part of the trio, but hey, two outta three ain’t bad.
