The Town Tavern:
Pop quiz: Where can you party in the Greenwich Village without being surrounded by purple t-shirt-wearing, baby-faced NYU students whose hearts leap with joy when they get to hand over their IDs to prove that, as of last week, they’re of drinking age? Town Tavern, where being 21 isn’t good enough to get in—on the weekends, this neighborhood bar requires its crowd to be 23 and older. What that leaves is a gathering of grad students, locals, and a few seventh-year freshmen to chow down on burgers, bob their heads to a loud stream of music, and get friendly in the unisex bathroom. Sorry, kid—come back in two years…or during the week, when the age-limit isn’t in effect.
This place is THE best place in the city to watch an Eagles game! Shots when the birds score, great wings and Philly fans PACKING the place. Definitely worth the trip to the village on Sundays.

This is indeed a VERY FUN BAR on both levels, the bartenders are wild but very friendly and fun, music was awesome and their recent facelift with 8 new flatscreens TVs and what seemed to be a whole new staff and management from last year put The Town Tavern back into my number one favorite bar in Greenwich Village category. Love this place. I just confirmed reservations for their annual Naughty Schoolgirl Party this Friday and if it is anything like last year's party you DO NOT want to miss this!

This is a fun bar however they hire idiots. I opened a tab here and the bartender let someone who he thought was with me sign out my card. Basically he assisted in someone stealing my card. The worst part is that I called the bar 3 times after to discuss and they refused to call me back. A police report had to be filed.
