The Snug:
Known for a hot second as "The Wee Pub" before reopening as Snug, it’s pretty obvious that the bar on 751 9th Avenue doesn’t exactly cater to large groups or members of the NBA. That said, it only takes a few people to get the party started at this half sports-bar, half pick-up joint in Hell’s Kitchen. Any bar that can be described by the adjective “cozy” normally has exposed brick and wood furnishings, and Snug follows in kind. Catering to theater geeks, dart aficionados and random stragglers attempting to escape Times Square, the bar offers $10 dollar decent martinis and interesting menu choices, like a tuna slider (prepared off-premises as the place is too small for a kitchen). Then again, if paying $10 for a drink isn’t your bag…you might want to get cozy elsewhere.
The Wee Pub didn't even open but this is now called Snug which is a nice low key place to get a drink. It's owned by the same folks who own the restaurant across the street which the name escapes me...
