Tillman's Bar & Lounge:
Opaque orange windows mask the mellow scene inside this soulful Chelsea spot stuck in the third teer of club hell--also known as West Chelsea. The subdued yet welcoming (and gorgeous) staff, amber lighting, and semicircular leather booths help create an atmosphere that will make patrons loyal and plenty intoxicated. The layout, with no separate VIP area, seems designed to make you feel you've discovered an insider secret straight out of old-world Harlem. Despite the background of Motown and hip hop, Tillman’s encourages more intimate conversations than the surrounding club-central grind-fests. Cocktails are king here, and they taste exactly how they should because the word “well” doesn’t even exist. Except, of course, for how you feel after your third Manhattan.
I love Tillman's! It's my go-to place when I want some good food (the patty melt and grilled cheese are awesome), good drinks and good music! Very laid back and chill. Always a nice crowd. I had to deduct one start because sometimes the service can be a little slow.

I live down the street and I just found Tillman's! This speak easy lounge is just steps away from my apartment - I never really noticed it because there isn't any signage outside. My roommate and I stopped by for drinks to kick off our weekend and were blown away. Not only do they make delicious cocktails (from an extensive cocktail list) the food looked and smelled so good! We sat at the bar the entire time and it was exactly what we needed after our hectic week - a laid back place whose music put us in the mood for the weekend. I can't wait to come back and try the food.

I didnt know what to expect I just knew that I had heard such great things. As I walked in there was some awsome tunes being played on the Saturday night that I went & i noticed that there was a female dj doing her thing on the turn tables, from what I understand the rule of thumbs at Tillmans is that they play no music thats been recoreded within the last 5 years. I recieved service from an Absolutly attractive and very knowlegable staff I Love this tuck away. check it out for your self.
