Those NYU kids are spoiled with so many affordable restaurants south of Union Square, and this new addition is no exception. Upscale Thai dishes are served at this surefire date spot from chef Peter Pitakwong (Peep, Highline, and SEA in Brooklyn) in a sexy, modern setting. Small plates like duck leg confit, smoked chili soup, and pencil spring rolls ($5 to $7), and larger plates like whole branzino and skate wing ($9 to $14) are a steal. Go now before the undergrads realize how much cafeteria food sucks.
