Tonic East
Tonic East epitomizes the 20-something, cookie-cutter land better known as Murray Hill. Hosting boys in semi-unbuttoned striped shirts and girls in mini-skirts with maxi heels, this bar is three levels of horny (ground level), hornier (second floor), and horniest (roof deck). While girls giggle and boys pretend to be big shots, Top 40 music blares, moving the crowd to mirror the best fraternity party U of MH has ever seen. Everyone at Tonic seems to have met their soulmate for the evening, and celebrates their newfound love with roof deck make-out sessions. Don’t let the velvet rope deter you—with 30+ large-screen TVs, two full-service bars, a view of the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings from one of the few local rooftops, and tons of good-looking people, Tonic East is a good spot to take a date on Tuesday, or find a date for the weekend. Just don’t be surprised if your date has to wake up early for Psych 101 in the morning.

It’s not the greatest hang out, but the rooftop, the view, and the reasonably priced beer makes me go back for more. I have been both for lunch and just drinks and have been equally happy. The waitresses are great, very friendly. The place does feel a little young, but if you are with good company before entering or just looking for a evening date, this place is perfect.

I love this review, so true. I have fallen in love many times at tonic, and find myself constantly returning. Plays the greatest jams to grind to. the 3 levels are awesome and i couldnt agree more...its gets hornier at each one.

It gets crowded on weekends but the skyline view and the women are enough reason to return.
