Though Shecky's doesn't condone breaking the law, guests may want to consider robbing a bank before coming here. Trinity Place is smack in the middle of the Financial District, which must give them some sort of backhanded right to charge an arm and a leg for a meal and drink. The service is okay, at least until other, more regular guests walk through the place's huge steel doors. The food is mediocre and if you can afford to drink away all of this unpleasantness, you'll note that there's actually a somewhat decent drink menu. If stuck in the area and it's before or after happy hour, the place is worth stopping by to check out, if only to see the novelty, gigantic bank safe in the back of the place. If, however, other options do exist, they might be worth considering instead.
