Formerly known as “The Pinch,” Triona’s is now more reminiscent of an upbeat sports bar than the grungy post-college frat house it used to be. You won’t find beer pong or any keg stands here, but you will find Wednesday night trivia, 14 hi-def TVs (probably tuned into the Florida game), a few dartboards and several out-of-place hipsters mingling with the regulars. The 24 beers on tap (which you’ll want to enjoy during their almost-eternal happy hour—Mon-Fri 1-8pm) are worth noting, as is the friendliness of the staff—jovial and knowledgeable bartenders will happily help you order delivery to make up for the spot’s lack of a kitchen. On weekends, DJs take over for the juke and couples take to the makeshift dance floor (or the bathrooms) to relive their college years. Reviewed: 2/19/2011
