You won’t find many tourists in Tuscan, even though it’s right around the corner from Grand Central Station. Maybe the visitors are shopping at franchises JUST like the ones they have back home or perhaps they can’t find the almost hidden entrance that leads to this modern Italian eatery. Once you’ve found the door, ascend a flight of stairs to the vertigo inspiring bar area and look down on Tuscan’s dining space. The crowd is nothing if not civilized, and for these prices, they’d better be. There isn’t an ounce of pretension in this Northern Italian restaurant, which is appropriate considering its painfully un-hip locale.
