Two Door Tavern:
"Ho, ho, ho, and a bottle of...sangria?" So sings the Williamsburg watering hole Two Door Tavern, which mixes one part pirate moonshine cellar and one part Colorado ski lodge—a combination that complements more than one might imagine. The vibe leans more Jack London than Jack Sparrow—the chill restaurant and bar has a cabin feel, with more people stopping in for the generously-portioned American fare than for pounding back pickle-backs. But the bar up front will never be deserted, at least during the everyday happy hour that serves up sangrias and mojitos for $5, select drafts for $4 and even booty like frickles (yep that's fried pickles, $5 a plate). Amongst the pastoral décor, flat-screens above the bar seem entirely out of place, but the creators have managed to tie together elements like rustic wooden tables, vintage jugs and colored glass bottles to construct a space that marks the spot.
