Vibrations Lounge: Marky Mark is now better known as “Mark Wahlberg,” and the puffy-coat-and-oversized-James-T-shirt trend has gone with the Funky Bunch…or so we thought. Enter, Vibrations Lounge, the former Lava Gina, where not all the vibes are good. The place is dimly lit by round red chandeliers, which hang just above tables where PDA-happy couples make you feel like you stumbled onto the wrong block in Amsterdam. But you have to hand it to the interior designer—in the weird red glow, even the awkward guy getting funky on the dance floor looks P.H.A.T. On Saturdays, enjoy two bottles for the low price of $225 before midnight, and a complimentary glass of champagne for every lady between 9 and 10pm. On other nights, the music is always bumping (a tad too loudly), but at least the DJs rotate between old school, Hip Hop, Reggae, Latin, African, Funk and House. So if you are down to get down, Vibrations Lounge is “good like a Sunkist.”
