Vucciria: Behind a subtle entrance emitting a gentle green light, the name Vucciria modestly positioned to the right of the door, lies Hell's Kitchen’s newest addition to the restosphere. At Vucciria, you'll escape from the flashy, obnoxious lights of 9th Ave. to a dimly lit oenophile experience named after a popular Italian market town famous for its fresh food. With over 40 different vinos by the glass, there's no shortage of choices to entertain your taste buds, but we'd recommend the house favorite, Barbara d’Alba “Rapet” by the glass ($11), bottle ($40) or just a taste ($6), paired with the complementing cheese plate, Formaggio Misti (four different cheeses served with fig jam and honey dipping sauces, $16). Don’t be afraid to order a glass of fine imported Italian wine, either! Vucciria is able to preserve freshness in every bottle, even after they've been opened, with their state-of-the-art wine preservation and dispensing system. Between the efficient and friendly servers, unending selection of wine and mouth-watering menu, Vucciria will easily turn you into a well-versed vino.
