Ward 3: No, Ward III is not the detox wing at The Tombs. Instead, it refers to the lovely TriBeCa tavern that stands out impressively in a neighborhood chockablock with lovely taverns. Perhaps its the utter lack of pretention that makes us such Ward supporters, or it could be the the "Bespoke Cocktails": a libation creation system which creates your perfect drink based on any or all of five categories (fruit, texture, spice, spirit and flavor). So if you enjoy feeling like a Miss America pageant judge when you order a drink, grab a seat. Much like the drinks, both the aesthetics (dark, ornate wood shelving and handsome brick walls) and the menu (try the Irish Potato Pancakes for $10, or the Brushetta for $11) ooze understated crowd-pleasing class.There’s even a resident DJ all up in the Ward, and he’s not averse to spinnin' the occasional slow-jam, so dress to impress and have your tic-tacs handy.
