Ward 3
No, Ward III is not the detox wing at The Tombs. Instead, it refers to the lovely TriBeCa tavern that stands out impressively in a neighborhood chockablock with lovely taverns. Perhaps its the utter lack of pretention that makes us such Ward supporters, or it could be the the "Bespoke Cocktails": a libation creation system which creates your perfect drink based on any or all of five categories (fruit, texture, spice, spirit and flavor).  So if you enjoy feeling like a Miss America pageant judge when you order a drink, grab a seat.  Much like the drinks, both the aesthetics (dark, ornate wood shelving and handsome brick walls) and the menu (try the Irish Potato Pancakes for $10, or the Brushetta for $11) ooze understated crowd-pleasing class. There’s even a resident DJ all up in the Ward, and he’s not averse to spinnin' the occasional slow-jam, so dress to impress and have your tic-tacs handy. You have a full night ahead.

Every time I go here, it never fails to impress. The cocktails are delicious but, if I'm in the mood for wine or beer, the selection is top notch. Great drinks coupled with the beautifully understated decor and welcoming bartenders seal the deal. Definitely going back soon.

Came in on a recommendation and I've been back two times since. Their "Bespoke" cocktail list kept me guessing each time. I haven't had the same cocktail twice, but each one has ranged from Totally Drinkable to Amazing. We had the Shepherd's Pie and Sliders at 3:00 am and they were awesome. My favorite spot, new or otherwise.
