‘Tis far better to find yourself at a Murray Hill bar where people say “Ahoy!” than “Bro!” and such is the case at this laid-back nautical-themed joint. Okay, so it’s not the world’s coolest spot, but that’s fine when there’s penny-pinching deals like a daily 4-7pm happy hour ($4 well drinks, hell yes!) along with frequent bucket-o-beer and cheap wing specials (as well as a tasty little thing called the Orange Crush, $5). As expected when a bar offers deals, the riff-raff has a hearty showing: mainly young but behaved after-work dudes interested in the sports blaring on the numerous screens. The kitchen is open till 2am with a seafood-heavy menu that's better than expected (lobster mac & cheese, $11; crab cakes $13), 16 respectable beers on tap (Captain Lawrence Pale Ale, $6) as well as more in bottles and cans, and even an immense outdoor deck. At Wharf, you’re not going to think for a second that you’re lounging on the Cape, but at least you might forget that you’re in Murray Hill.
