White & Church: White & Church may not be the most imaginative name for a restaurant, but it certainly makes it easy to find...which is a great, because you'll definitely want to go back. This recently revamped space (formerly Il Matto), led by Italian husband and wife team, Chef Matteo Boglione and mixologist Cristina Bini, comes complete with two separate lounges and classic Italian films perpetually projected onto the wall. The dinner menu features a range of affordable small and large plates (between $11-$15), including delicacies like olives stuffed with pork, veal and mortadella, then delicately fried and served hot and a unique pecorino cheese crème brûlée. Indecisive diners can always opt for the ten-course tasting menu, which goes for an unreal $50. For brunch, try twists on traditional dishes like their mac-and-cheese-stuffed burger ($14). Whatever time of day, be sure to sample one of Bini's specialty cocktails (there are over 60 on the menu). She's offering all the classics and then some—if you're not feeling too adventurous, opt for the Breakfast Martini (peach vodka, topped with black pepper and garnished with cheese) or go for broke with a "Why Not?" (Tequila, Cointreau, sugar, lime and avocado, topped with dried spicy Mexican worms—yes, real insects!). Whether you're a true food adventurer or a fan of the tried and true, White & Church is sure to please.
