Wine:30: Tucked away on an inconspicuous block amidst the hustle and bustle of Murray Hill, lies the charming Wine:30. Warm Midwestern bartenders craft both music playlists and the beer menu, which features seasonals on draft, along with close to 20 bottles like Boon Kriek Cherry Lambic, $15. A well-chosen wine list impresses even the most seasoned palates with a particularly notable selection of chardonnays and merlots ($9-$15 by the glass). If patrons enjoy a certain daily wine special enough, the staff will even add the bottle to the menu's regular rotation. Not surprisingly, wine also features as the main decorative element here, with bottles surrounding the bar area, decorative paintings of decanters, and a separate dining area whose ceiling is lined with corks. Soon enough, you’ll also be able to enjoy your vino in a new outdoor garden behind the dining room. So on a hot day, grab your best friend and split a bottle like the 2007 Millbrook Cabernet ($40) and a drool-worthy homemade Oreo cheesecake ($9). We are so ready to leave work, is it Wine:30 yet?
