Wolfnights:
A place proudly touting “gourmet wraps” might make you think you’ve stumbled back into the late-1990s, but when they’re this interesting, you won’t care. The joint’s “schtick” is fairy-tale chic with a décor straight from the Brother’s Grimm (as in chair swings) and menu items likewise. There’s the egg and zurita cheese Little Red Riding, the falafel-heavy Teen Wolf and the signature chicken-based Brother’s Grimm (all wraps, $5.95-$8.95). The actual wraps are made from house doughs and are of the exotic variety, like fig and pomegranate, date and pumpkin seed, and beet and chia seed. The menu is minimalist otherwise, with a roasted beet salad ($2.95) and three kinds of french fries ($3.65-$3.95) as the only side items. The beer list is sadly lean, touting your standard macrobrewery swill ($4.50-$6), but the non-alcoholic chocolate and basil milkshake ($5.50) is so damn good that you'll want to have a sober meal for once. Going out of your way to get a wrap in the 21st century? Why not!
